Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is the Ontario’s Province High School Diploma, which is accredited by the Canadian Ministry of Education as the Secondary School completion certificate. To graduate with the high school diploma, students need to earn 30 credits during their secondary school. Students joining the Ontario Secondary School program from other School programs or mature students from different formal and informal work, training and educational background can receive credits for their previous educational experiences through the process of PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition) to work towards the completion of OSSD. Assessment and evaluation of OSSD program is not only dependent on the exam results, but also on the overall process of learning, which include knowledge inquisition and research and the ability of the students to apply the knowledge gained from their lessons to solve an existing problem using creative ideas and solutions with available resources as well as their ability to present and communicate their work.

Canadian High School offers the OSSD Program in partnership with Rosedale Global High School, which is authorized by the Canadian Ministry of Education to grant OSSD diploma certificate. The Canadian High School Program starts from Grade 9 and culminates at Grade 12. While our Grade 9 and Grade 10 subjects adopt both the National Curriculum for England (NCfE) and the Ontario curriculum, the subjects taught in Grade 11 and Grade 12 are solely based on Ontario curriculum, which is recognized by the Canadian Ministry of Education.  Students are required to obtain 30 credits throughout the Canadian High School Program from Grade 9 to Grade 12 as well as complete 40 hours of community service to work towards the successful completion of the OSSD diploma.  

There are placement tests for the students entering each grade of the Canadian High School Program, which is done to ensure that students meet the requirements to enter a specific grade and have the capacity to cope with the lessons that are going to be taught in that grade.   

Provided that all students joining our program can provide the transcripts from their previous school and meet the English language requirements and placement test assessment for each grade that they are entering, Secondary 1 (Myanmar 7^TH Standard) students may join our Canadian High School at Grade 9, Secondary 2 (Myanmar 8^th Standard) students can enter our Grade 10, Secondary 3 (Myanmar 9^th Standard) students can join our Canadian High School at Grade 11, respectively.  

Grade 12 is widely known as OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) and marks the completion of the Secondary school journey. Upon graduating with the Grade 12 OSSD Diploma, students prepare for post-secondary education.

As such there are more detailed requirements for entry to our Grade 12. Potential students may need to provide either IGCSE O’ level, with a minimum of B in each subject, (or) 10^th Standard Matriculation results, with a minimum of 425 marks and a minimum of 67 marks for each subject. Additionally, the school transcripts from previous 3 grades may be required to transfer credits for the subjects , students have taken at their previous schools to add up to 30 OSSD credits.

Additionally, improving the student’s ability to present and communicate their work is considered an important part of the curriculum. The assignments account for the majority of the course evaluation, with the final project and final exam accounting for only 15% respectively. This accumulative assessment throughout the secondary school education ensures an inclusive environment for children with different learning needs and support, as the evaluation is not solely based on rote learning and exam results and supports an overall development of children during their learning process.

🔳OSSD Grade 12 ဆိုတာ ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံရှိ Ontario ပြည်နယ်မှ အထက်တန်းကျောင်းကို အောင်မြင်စွာပြီးဆုံးသွားသည့် ကျောင်းသူကျောင်းသားများကို ကနေဒါနိုင်ငံရဲ့ Ministry of Education( ပညာရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန) မှတိုက်ရိုက် ထုတ်ပေးသည့် ဒီပလိုမာ လက်မှတ်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

🔳OSSD Grade 12 လက်မှတ်ဖြင့် UK, Poland, Hungary နိုင်ငံများတွင် MBBS, Dentistry, Pharmacy ဘွဲ့များအတွက် တက္ကသိုလ်သို့ တိုက်ရိုက်လျှောက်ထားနိုင်သလို ကမ္ဘာ့ ထိပ်တန်းဝင် တက္ကသိုလ် အဖွဲ့စည်းများဖြစ်တယ့် UK’s Russell Group, Canada’s U15 နှင့် Australia’s Group of Eight ထဲတွင် စာရင်းဝင်သော ကမ္ဘာ့အဆင့်မြင့် တက္ကသိုလ်များ တွင် Foundation Year မလိုဘဲ မိမိတို့ နှစ်သက်ရာ undergraduate degree program များကို တက္ကသိုလ် ပထမနှစ် (Bachelor’s Degree /Undergraduate Degree First year) မှစတင်၍ တိုက်ရိုက်တက်ရောက်သင်ကြားနိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

🔳OSSD diploma certificate လက်မှတ်ရရှိရန် အထက်တန်းကျောင်း Grade 9 မှ Grade 12 တန်းအတွင်း 30 credit ပြည့်မှီရန် လိုအပ်ပြီး community involvement hours လို့ ခေါ်တယ့် ပရဟိတ လုပ်ငန်း၌ ပါဝင်ကူညီလုပ်ဆောင်ပေးချိန် နာရီ (၄၀) ပြည့်မှီရန်လည်း လိုအပ်ပါသည်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်သင်ကြားပေးမည့် Canadian High School Diploma (OSSD) ရရှိရန်အတွက်အနည်းဆုံး 6 Courses သို့မဟုတ် 7 Courses သင်ကြားရန်လိုအပ်သည်။

🔳အချိန်တစ်နှစ်အတွင်း OSSD ပြီးမြောက်ရန်နှင့် Credit မည်မျှထပ်မံယူရမည်ကိုသိရှိနိုင်ရန် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှ ကျောင်းသူကျောင်းသားများ၏ ဆယ်တန်းတက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်ခွင့်စာမေးပွဲ အောင်လက်မှတ် သို့မဟုတ် IGCSE/ A-LEVEL ရမှတ်များကို ကနေဒါ နိုင်ငံတွင် ကျင့်သုံးသည့် Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) စနစ်ဖြင့် စစ်ဆေးပေးမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ 30 credit ပြည့်မှီရန် လိုအပ်သည့် course များကို Grade 12 တွင် ဖြည့်စွက်သင်ကြား သွားမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး ပရဟိတ လုပ်ငန်း၌ ပါဝင်ကူညီလုပ်ဆောင်ပေးချိန် နာရီ (၄၀) ပြည့်မှီရန် ရန်ကုန်ရှိ တရားဝင် ပရဟိတ အဖွဲ့စည်းများ တွင် ကူညီလုပ်အားပေးနိုင်ရန် CHS မှ စီစဥ်ပေးမည် ဖြစ်သည်။
